Hi Becca,

It was nice chatting with you last night and I hope you will come again soon.

As far as jello recipes, I really don't have any to share. If you are good on the web I would bet that if you typed in jello recipes you would get hundreds of responses. The recipe web sites on the web are great.

Best wishes for better health, TAB style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/foryou.gif

Ok this is going to sound weird, but I eat alot of whipped jello. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hehe.gif On the diet I'm on, I'm allowed Sugar free jello as a free snack, but I prefer puddings more, so this makes it more like a pudding consistency. I've read where you can make it according to pkg. instructions, then after it sets, to whip it into cool whip. But I myself just add the jello powder to the blender, add about one cup boiling water, put the lid on and start it up. After a few moments I add about 5-6 ice cubes, wait until they are blended in and add another 5-6. Sometimes I add a couple of Tbs of frozen lite cool whip too. After those are done, I pour the mixture into cups and put them in the fridge for 5-10 minutes to set up. My fav.s are lemon with a dollop of lite cool whip on top. Kind of reminds me of lemon pie. (Sort of, anyway....if you close your eyes,....and pretend. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif ) And sometimes I make my own flavors by using Knox unflavored gelatin and extracts, or sugar free flavorings. Anyway, that's what I do with Jello. Be interesting to see what other do with it. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/flowers.gif style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif

Hi Becca, style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wavey.gif

Does that include pudding or just gelatin?

I enjoy putting fruit cocktail in my jello gelatin with whipped cream on top.

This site has some good ideas: http://www.kraftfoods.com/jello/main.aspx?s=&m=jlo_past_rx

If you find any good ones, let us know (Chocolate ones especially style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bigsmile.gif ).

This is the family favorite.

Make jello according to package instructions and refridgerate for 15 minutes. Then stir in 8 ounces of orange yogurt and a can of drained mandrin oranges. Chill until set.

Hope you like it,
Lazylegs

Hi Becca!

I have a great jello cake recipe, if you don't mind a more fattening treat. Bake a normal white or yellow cake in a rectangular pan. Allow the cake to cool. Make the jello (any flavor you like) according to the package instructions. Poke holes into the cake (I use the handle of a wooden spoon), then fill the holes with the jello. Use all of the jello! Chill the cake for four hours, and then spread with whipped cream or Cool Whip.

I use non-fat Cool Whip to save a few calories. This is especially good on hot days.

Hello,
Thanks for the recipes they both sound great and I can't wait to try them. The cake sounds delicious and I think my family will like it too. The orange j-ello recipe sounds refreshing. So far I have just added whip cream and fruit to the j-ello an it has been good. Thank you all for taking the time. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/Thanx.gif
