What a pain Roxie style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hugbetter.gif

This could well be steroid acne that teens and younger women are especially prone to as a pred side effect.
If it is this you could try topical antiacne treatment. I suppose it isn't easy for you to see a dermatologist since you're in the UK but that would be best.
My suggestion isn't medical advice ! Maybe other members will be able to advise based on personal experience

I would try it on a small area first to make sure there no allergic type reaction. Keep the skin very clean too.
I suppose that as you can reduce the Prednisone it will clear up.

Best of luck

Clare

Hi Roxie

I can sympathise with you on this. I'm 51 and recently I've been having a real problem with spots. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif I'm actually in the process of reducing the prednisolone so I don't know if that's anything to do with it. I've tried all the over-the-counter remedies but with no success. I spoke to my doc last week about it and he's given me some tetracycline lotion so I'll see how it goes.

I hope you can find an answer, it's so miserable - bad enough feeling rough without having to put up with spots as well! style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/crying.gif

Hello
You said you had Lupus but did not say for sure what type of Lupus you have ?
Since there is Multiple types and some effect the skin more then others it is hard to say just what is causing the spots.
It would be best to see your doctor and ask them about the spots and what they recomend for it.

Many people with Lupus have very sensitive skin and drugs like Pred can make them even more sensitive. For this reason I would be very careful about trying anything to treat it without getting it looked at first.
The doctors will be better able to look at it and tell you a few suggestions or at least look at it and send you to a doctor who can help with it.
