I'm having a tough time with lupus profundus/morphea profunda on my leg. It keeps getting larger and larger, and more and more painful. My dermy thinks it will only stop when my systemic disease is brought under control (he consulted with a leading lupus skin expert in the nation). Since I've had IV Cytoxan, Imuran with MTX, and CellCept with MTX, and none of it has helped, he is suggesting I have Kenalog injections into the lesion. Since he's going to have to do so many, and they are painful, he's only going to do 1/4 of the lesion at a time.
Have any of you had lesions like this (swollen, then red and bound down really hard)? Have any of you had Kenalog injections?
This is going to be interesting, to say the least. Any experiences you can share would be appreciated. Thanks! style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/flowers.gif
