Hi everyone style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bigsmile.gif

I know the hair loss topic has got loads of thingys, you know topics on it so sorry to bring it up AGAIN but here goes.

Right I know most of you know that my hair started thinning when i 'became ill' but for the past four months I have had bald patches. I have noticed that a get a spot first then the area goes bald and the spot stays although it does go smaller. I did have alopecia when I was 16 and went to have it checked out, the doctor then said it was through stress so maybe that is whats happeneing again? style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/shrug.gif .

Please don't say its the steroids cos I haven't been on them for over a year style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif

Love and hugs as always and sending lots of nice strong hair vibes to those who need it

style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wavey.gif Hi Jules, I am sorry your going thru the hair loss thing. I only
went thru the thinning part once, and it scared me. I promptly sent
away for a bunch of free wig catalogue's just in case, I can only tell you
that I still have them. The wigs are so lite anad weigh nothing, and they
look so beautiful now, not like years ago. They would also be great on a
day when you feel you don't even want to get out of bed, let alone try
to fix your hair. I am sorry that is all I can offer to you, but at least
look at the books hon.

Be well and keep posting. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cool.gif

Hi Jules

Sorry your going through this, I'm losing hair by the handful right now. I did the same as halfpint,
just in case. Maybe this will be short lived, my husband has alopecia and his hair, so far has always
grown back. But then men don't seem to freak as bad as we women do... I'll take some of those good
hair vibes, and wish your bad hair days away. Good luck

Take Care

Thanx for replies, I read somewhere that Alopoecia was an autoimmune problem where the hair attacks the follicles (sp?) I think there are probably lots of other reasons too.

I'm really considering asking for a re referral to a rheumy (not the same one as last time though!!!!!!!!!) as I have been getting more symptoms and my husband has noticed too, yep, think I will pluck up the courage to ask for re referral and if the old rheumie doesn't like it that I want to see someone else then style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif .

Love nad hugs and still sending lotsa strong bushy hair vibes style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bigsmile.gif
