Hello, I haven't posted in a while, but have been reading some. I have been so tired. I have one good day, then BANG, three bad days in a row. I can't stand it! The medication Rheumy perscribes does not work. I called today to ask for something else, the nurse called back and said he wanted to wait until next appointment. That is next month. Well, I am not going back to him, he is not listening to all of my symptoms. I hope this next doctor is better. I have been going to sleep some nights at 7pm. That is not normal for someone in there 30's! Saturday, I woke up at 7am, feed baby, had two cups of coffee, went back to bed at 9am and slept till 1pm. That was the worst day. Does any one else have severe elbow, shoulder pain? How about pain in the top part of your arm, like the muscel? This has been waking me up at night too. Sorry, just venting, think hubby is probally getting tired of me! Hope not. Take Care, Jen style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ermm.gif style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/crying.gif style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/crying.gif style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/crying.gif style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/crying.gif

Hi Jenn
I can really relate to your elbow/ shoulder pain, I am having trouble with this as well as my neck, and the muscles in the upper arms, I just can't figure out if it is from lupus or what. I haven't been posting much either due to the pain, it gets worse when I type. And like you nights are awful. I hope someone comes along with some insight, this has been driving me nuts for over four months. Know your not alone and keep venting, that's one of the reasons we come here. I hope you feel better soon with proper treatment.
A month is a long wait, I see my rheumy next Tuesday and I really want some good drugs. Take care of yourself.
Hugs Jude

Hi Jen style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hugbetter.gif style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hugbetter.gif
I know how frustrating this must be for you. Vent away....
I think you had your appointment with your last rheumy on May 31st? Is that right? Did he put you on new meds or advised you to stick with what you were already on? What meds are you on at the moment?
I also get terrible shoulder and arm pain. Occasionally elbows but mostly shoulders. It keeps me from sleeping and reduces me to tears sometimes style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/crying.gif The fatigue is awful as well.....
Jen it can take some people a long time to get their symptoms under control. Like you, I am fairly new to all this. I have only been on Plaquenil since last August. I also feel that my symptoms are not yet fully under control. It IS frustrating but sometimes we just have to wait style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/shrug.gif
Mind you, that doesnt excuse bad practice on behalf of your Rheumy style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mad.gif Can your GP give you anything stronger for the pain until you get to see the new Rheumy next month?
Take care. You have a lot on your plate and a little baby to look after. Thats all very tough style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hugbetter.gif

Hi Everyone,
Just read this about the soreness in elbow and shoulder I to have had this problem my doctor sent me for xrays of my neck, but showed nothing he then referred me to physio they said I have thorictic outlet sydrome (excuse the spelling). Gave me some stretches to do and I have to say it has helped relieve the pain a bit. So maybe a bit of physio might help. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wiggle.gif
Hope you are feeling better soon.
