View Full Version : Curried snags (sausages for the uninitiated lol )

10 thin beef sausages
1 large or 2 small carrots
1 stick of celery
1 large or two smaller potatoes
1 onion
2 cloves of garlic
1 cup of peas (frozen is ok)
1 tablespoon of worcestshire sauce
2 tablespoons of tomato paste
2 - 2 1/2 cups of beef stock
curry powder to taste (some like it hot style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif ) I use around 2 teaspoons

bring sausages to boil in large saucepan then drain
put chopped veggies and other stuff in saucepan, bring to boil and simmer until tender
(if using frozen peas add towards end of cooking time)
cut sausages in bite size pieces and add to vegetables and sauce, simmer for a while until sausages completely cooked through, thicken with 1 tablespoon of cornfour or whatever it takes to thicken style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hehe.gif

serve alone or with rice or even nice on toast style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif
