Feel so Lucky.

Hello all,

Just wanted to share with you how lucky I feel .

As some of you may remember i have had a nasty abscess on my arm that left me with a great hole and is very argumentative about healing.. i have to have it dressed every other day.

Anyway the point is that my GP has been away so i have been seeing another nice lady doctor.. she called me today with some blood results and as it turns out she is a rheumatologist from my Lupus clinic .

Feeling in expert hands at the moment. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif

I do hope your abcess clears up very soon. Has she suggested anything different than your GP did?

Hi Karen ,

I am now taken two differant antibiotics and they are changing the dressing just twice a week now so that it is not open to more infection, when i see it i am mortified but she seems happy with how its coming on now.

But yes things are improving style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif

I am glad that things are improving with your abcess i wish you a speedy recovery from it.

You sure sound pleased to have a new doctor on your side - i sure hope she works wonders for you. I got a new gp about 6 months ago - my own gp was busy and this new lady gp came out to see me and i have seen her ever since i feel she is more understanding than my old gp.

Isnt it amazing what a little understanding can do to help you cope !

I just dont feel asthough i am having to fight them as well as the disease.
