Hello everyone,

Thanks again for all ofyour help over these past couple of weeks. We got some awesome news on Friday. Aundrea does not have Lupus...All the tests were negative...She does continue to have some of the familiar symptoms as far as sun photosensitivity, however the rheumy is definatley sticking with they systemic onset juvenile arthritis diagnosis that she has now had for the past 3 years.

Here is something that was kind of surprising. Aundrea had a positive ANA 1-640 speckled and the current labs showed her to be ANA negative. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif he said its not an indication of her disease activity, but still its a good thing.

She is still in a flare with her arthritis but he is agreeable to holding out for awhile and seeing if it will go away on its own before we restart any meds.

All is all it was an awesome visit.

As far as her dizziness and shortness of breath..he had no explanation for that and doesn't think its related to jra. He advised us to monitor it for a couple of weeks and if it persists then we will need to take her to her primary doc and get some tests done.

Thanks again, and I wish you all the very best!

Sonia (mom to Aundrea 10 systemic jra)

Dear Sonia

I just came across this post from you and i am very happy to hear no lupus for your little one. It sounds like there is enough going on with the arthritis for the poor little thing. Hope and pray that everything contiues to get better for your little one. That is so hard as a mom to watch your little one suffer no matter what it si. Take care and keep us posted please with you and your young one. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hugbetter.gif style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hugbetter.gif

Thanks Tammy,

We were very relieved to find that her labs aren't indicating any type of lupus. Her arthritis is still flaring and has gotten worse in her hands. We are managing though and I guess its easier to deal with the beast that you are familiar with than taking on something new! :-)

Its funny that while the diseases are different the treatment is extremely similar. I guess that just the way it is with autoimmune disorders.

Hope that you are feeling well and again thanks for being so welcoming to me.

Sonia (dtr. Aundrea 10 systemic juvenile arthritis.

I know what you are dealing with. My daughter had the same story, but they dicided she has lupus not JRA even though they siad JRa when she was four. The battle with systemic JRA is just as hard, but I think it usually goes away and does not come back again. I am praying that heppens for you. I wish you the best and good health Charlett
