Can someone tell me the difference between eczema and lupus rash?

Your Dermatology appt will help sort it out, esp if you have a biopsy done (although they arent foolproof) a negative result does not necessarily mean you have no lupus. A positive one means you definitely do though. Some people have been diagnosed that way.

Eczema looks very different to Lupus rashes in my own experience and it also favours the inside of the elbows and back of knees (although they are certainly not the only places you can get it). I'm sure a search on some of those Dermatology sites will reveal many pictures of eczema too.

Good luck and hang in there, you are inching your way towards finding out whats going on. Sometimes it's a slow process, sometimes not, good luck with your blood tests.

Hi, I agree with Lily. The two rashes do look different. I was orignially diagnosed by a positive skin biopsy. That is what finally got me on the road to getting a diagnosis and appropriate treatment.
