Hi Everyone,
Haven't being visiting for a while. Lot going on in my life. But I thought I would touch base and see if any of you guys have had this problems that is coming more often then I would like.
I have spoken to my doctor about this but she looks at me with a blank look and just put me on nexeum which is a pill for reflux or (gerd).
I burp alot but just not after a meal I will be fine for 10 minutes or a hour and then it begins, burping and then everytime I do this a get a terrible spasm just below my breast bone just below my eshophgus, maybe my upper stomach. It just is so painful it makes me cry out. I have had it for a week this time and the area it is in is very sore now. So I have just started to take this drug and will see if it helps. I do have shogrens also and I do drink water anytime I eat because of the dryness. But this problem is happening far more oftened and it is very painful.
If anyone can shed some like on this I would appreciate it. I did have a test of this in2004 and it showed some refux when they gave me something to swallow but didn't think it was very bad.
The problem I have in Canada is that this problem should be addressed when it shows up however I usually have to to wait 2 to 3 months to see the doctor and by that time the flare may be gone.
It is just like the pain I have under my righ ribs they can't give me an answer for that but it is very uncomfortable to breath and it worse at night while laying down. That never goes away ct and exrays show not just some inflamation. I have had this for a year and a half. Sure it is the Lupus.

Hi Michelle.

I would give the doc another call, when you are describing the area, my first thought was maybe an ulcer? I think a call to the doc should be made and tell them that you are in "severe" pain. If it is the reflux then perhaps the med would help. I think some time has passed since 2004 that maybe a few more tests are in order since it has been 2 years and new symptoms have arisen. The meds could cause this pain too.

I would call the doc and let them know and maybe they can check out now not later.

Hi as far as sjrogrens goes, drink all day, carry a bottle with you, and suck on caugh drops,
I use the menthol ones, they seem to open my thrioat more for me. There is a pill
generic, called salagen that you could try, but I am getting nothing out of it, but as
you know, we are all different, I would give it a try if I were you.Good luck,

I am going to see the doctor in August that is the earliest I could get. The new pills are helping the reflux.
I think I will have to eat more blane food. Oh also I get tmj all the time I know I should be more carefu of what I eat that is chewy or hard. If makes it flare up.
