Menstrual problems

I have always had terrible cramps and very heavy bleeding during my periods. But now the bleeding is much worse. I have been considering having the ablation procedure done. I was wondering if any of you have had it done. Also, will it cause my symptoms to become worse....???? I am not officially diagnosed yet.

I had the procedure done Aug 2000. I had it because I was having cycle 2 times a month, one week only without flow. It did help me flow isn't as heavy. Everyonce in awhile I still have two a month but not like I did. I am not yet dx'd either. I didn't become really ill until Feb 2003. Not sure if maybe this was somehow related or not. In my opion it was worth having done and if I had to make that decision all over again I'd do the same.
