Well, for those in the "know", my daughter has been diagnosed with Lupus at the ripe ole age of 9. Now she has something else in common with mom. Anyway, she had more labs drawn on July 9th and we are now awaiting the results. We know at this point that she will be referred onto a Pediatric Rheumy in St Louis (2hr drive), which is fine with us. Gives us a reason to try out different restuarants. Anyway, we are having problems battling the fatigue and aches and pains that Lupus dishes out. Please everyone say a little prayer for Miss Madi as she takes on this new challenge.

Madi has been in my prayers since I heard about her having lupus. My heart goes out to Madi, you and your family.
I hope she gets on meds that will help with her fatigue and pain real soon.
It is nice that she has you to help guide her. (My brother has SLE too, we have that common bond.) It is nice we can talk to each other and know that there is someone who knows exactly what you are talking about.
((((((Madi))))))))
You two take care and hang in there.

Very sorry to hear about your Daughter.
St Louis has some very nice medical facilities.
I hope that all turns out well for her.

Nancy, my thoughts and prayers are with you both.

While this is a tragic development for such a young woman, what a blessing it must be for your daughter to be able to share this experience with you,and that you can share your strength and your hope with her. You will not be one of the thoughtless, ignorant types - you will understand her pain, fatigue, and other struggles as no one else can. There won't be any uneccessary fears over labs tests that she doen't understand, and she will have an advocate well educated about this disease to work with her health care providers. Perhaps the universe brought you along in this first to be her guide, and in sharing your life with her, you will both learn, grow, and comfort one another.

You have alot on your plate just now - please let someone help you with your burden, and try not to do this all alone. We are all here for you both. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wub.gif Tracy

Dear Nancy, Tracy just about summed up all there is to say, and did so very eloquently. Of course I will keep you and Madi in my t hougts and prayers. The two of you are blessed in being together. I know it must be a hard time for you. Do you have anyone to talk and vent to? I hope you have a close circle of support so you and Madi don't have to navigate the rough waters alone.

Love and hugs and prayers,
Sunny

Awww......Nancy I'm so sorry to hear about your daughter's diagnosis. Poor little sweetie. :worried: I sure do hope they can help bring the symptoms under control.

Good luck with your visit to the Pediatrician.
