Hi Guys!!!

Just checking in. It has been six months since I began the Rituxan Study and I seem to be doing well. The skin rashes in my arms, neck, face and back are all almost gone. Blood work seems to be improving tremendously. Next month I will be doing two more infusions.

Since it is a study I do not know if I got the Rituxan but it sure feels like I did. I feel great, my skin is almost back to normal and labs show the difference. So I can only assume I did because I am not doing anything differently.

So for you gals out there that are suffering from severe rashes and low platelet counts, Rituxan is a good thing. It has truly worked for me, if I did get it.

Lets keep praying and keep our fingers cross that an approval is received from the FDA for Lupus soon.

Tomorrow I will be going to my study doctor to draw some blood and I guess they will give me an exact date for my infusions next month.

Wishing All of You much health.

Have a Blessed Day!!!!

((((Janet))))

I am so happy to hear this from you,,, I know how apprehensive you were about going through with the treatments,,, but it sounds like it was a very positive experience for you. I know this is your post, and I don't want to steal your thunder:rotfl:  , but I am 8 months post treatment,, and things have been very well for me too. My bloodwork is great, little to no aches and pains, etc. I have just a little bit of a red face which may have to do with this Florida Sun :wink2: , but other than than things are awesome.

I hope that your body continues to respond positive to the treatment. :more:

Love and Hugs

P.S Thank you for the emails that you have been sending me,,, they really have helped me through some tough days!!!!

Hi Janet and Special K

Janet, that is great that you are doing so well. When will you find out if you were on Rituxin and not a placebo for sure?

It has been 7 months since my last Rituxin infusion. I see my Rheum Tuesday who will go over all of my labwork which was done 10 days ago. I will post an update to let you all know what she says. I feel good and do know that my CBC and CMB are in the normal range. Rheum's nurse called to tell me this. Before Rituxin I NEVER had a normal CBC.

So, I will talk to you all later.
Sarah

Hi Janet,

I was just wondering how you were doing the other night. Glad to hear that things are improving. Sounds like you may have gotten the real deal. Do you know if you are in phase 2 or 3 of the trials? Good luck with your next infusions.

Take care,
Lazylegs
