Went to see Rheumatoligist

Hello All,

I got in to see the rheumy, it is like pulling teeth to have an emergency appointment with her... But I got in... She injected both my hips with Cortisone yippee.... I am so happy about that... this was Tuesday and I am feeling a lot better right now ... I am sitting.... For those who dont know me I have been having problems with that lately....
She also told me I was in a flare up.... Surprise .... Any way I am happy to have seen her ....

And I am also glad to be here.. I could not get in... Joanne helped and I am now....

Its good to hear from you - i was only asking after you yesterday as i hadn't seen you around for quite a while.

I am sorry that you are having such a tough time of it right now with a flare and your hips, i am pleased that you managed to get in to see your rheumy and get the cortisone shots done, hopefully you will be up :dancing: :dancing: :dancing: dancing around real soon :lol: :lol: :lol: .

Hi Penny.

Glad that you got to get in there and at least got to have the shots. Glad too that you can now sit. When we lose something (anything) we realize how important something as simple as ( like sitting is)

I am so glad that they fit you in to see your rheumatologist. Since you are flaring did she increase your prednisone? I pray that things settle down for you soon.

Thank you so much for all the support and the words of kindness.... I would like to continue this story... Two days ago... I came home and got dinner ready, I went to sit down for a bit and lo and behold the chair broke from under me and I went down in slow motion.... I hit my head, hurt my spine and really hurt my left hip.... so I am back to feeling pretty bad... Boy accidents really do happen quickly.... And lately I am not very lucky... Anyway enough.... Thanks again for the support...

Dear Penny

I just finally got around toreading your post for the first time. I was wondering where the heck was penny at. I am so sorry first of all for the hip trouble i do know what that is like unfortunately i cant take the cortizone shots anymore because of some troulble with them but so glad you can. That pain does make it almost impossible to sit but worse then that you cant sleep from the pain also. So i am glad you were able to get relief from that. I just pray that things like the chair incident stop right now for you and you get feeling much better real soon and get out of this flare also. You poor thing:( . Take care or try of yourself okay. I cant wait to chat with you again. I will try to watch for you on line.
