.. if you haven't already done so. Go to User CP at top left of your screen and look down to Options. Open options and look down the various options available.

PM means Private Message.

If your PM facility is not enabled, you will not receive communications from any forum member who wishes to keep their email addy private and that includes several of the Moderators.

Thanks !

Clare

Please everybody check that your PM system is enabled ! If the above is not clear please ask for further explanation. You have to tick a box to indcate that you are willing to receive Private Messages.

There are already two instances when I need to contact a forum member as a matter of courtesy about changes in their posts, but I am unable to let them know because their forum Private Message facility has not been enabled.

I am one of the many who wish to keep their email private and to conduct forum business through the forum. PM is the only way to do it.

Step by Step of How to Enable your Private Messaging Facility

1. Click on UserCP (Its the first link on the left along the pale blue line of links near the top of the screen). This brings you into your own personal control panel. On the left hand side of this screen you will see a list of options.

2. Select Edit Options. This brings you into another screen and in the centre of the screen are various different sections.

3. Scroll down until you find the one called Messaging and Notification.
In there you will see a section called Private Messaging.

4. Tick the little box that enables Private Messaging

5. Scroll down to the bottom

6. Press save changes and hey presto!

Thanks

Hi Flowergarden
I sent you a PM about this and thanks for the reply. Hope you got sorted! For others who dont know how to send a PM here is what you do:

SENDING A PRIVATE MESSAGE TO ANOTHER MEMBER

First of all find the members name on the boards (or do a member search for their name). When you have their name click on this and it brings you into their Profile. On the right hand side you will see a link allowing you to send an email to that member. Directly under this is the link allowing you to send a Private Message to a member. Unfortunately not all members have enabled their Private Message Facility so if there is no link there then you cant send one.

Luv n stuff
