I can't use products for my skin ect with chemicals, its makes my lupus rashes worse, so thought I share a home made recipe for dry skin, which I use.
Natural Home Facial for Dry Skin - The honey and banana combo makes a good facial for dry skin. Honey leaves the skin hydrated with its hydrating properties and bananas with hordes of vitamins, calcium and other essential nutrients keep the skin smooth and soft. The bananas should not be overripe. Mash 1 small banana. Add 1 tsp of honey to it and mix well. Apply this on your face and leave it on for 10 -15 minutes. Wash off with lots of water afterwards.
Sheila :)
I use rose water to take it off with, not so hard on the skin.:)

Hi Sheila: Is it auditory discrimiantion processing disorder that you have? That is what I have and I don't know anyone else with it. It is very frustration because it effects clear communication.
oct 05 I had double pneumonia and while in the hospital on my 5th day I had a gran mal seize ( never had pneumonia nor a seizure before) which broke my right humerus and shattered and dislocated my right shoulder ball. Had to be reconstructed. Jan 06 sinus surgery...problems breathing and my smell and taste was all messed up. Now I'm told I have sjogrens...dry mouth and tongue and throat, dry eyes and skin.......dibiliating exhaustion at times. My fingers swell and the joints are tender.
......has anyone had anything like like this to happen to them?........
Please let me know about auditory processing disorder...
Thanks, Terri Lynn:bigsmile:

Sheila:
I was diagnosed about 15 years ago. The same here....I have had it all my life...which explains my comprehension problems...I will make a comment or answer someones question and they will look at me ..like what are u talking about....because I heard them wrong (I had no idea)...so both parties are confused. ...I have found that while watching TV...using the cc (closed captions) has helped big time...I don't have to ask "what did they say" ....comprehension with TV improved because I could accurately read the dialogue..therefore comprehension was increased. Try it!
What techneques have u learned to help u? I also have an email address if u would like to chat more extensively: tlcguardian@cfl.rr.com
please email anytime.....What does Pm me mean? How do u do that?
I look forward to your chat. Thank you Thank you to have found someone that knows what I am talking about...Terri Lynn

:) Hi terrilynn,
I experienced the same problems you are talking about. I had no idea what was happening. I went as far as an MRI with my neurologist, and he was not able to tell me what was wrong. The following week he called to tell me that a neuropsychological test had been scheduled. It was going to cost $1500.00, tho, and I had no way to pay for that. It became embarrassing to try to talk in any depth communication. I felt like a child sometimes. I recognized how wierd my communication was while talking to two children at my church. Like you said, they just looked at me as if to say, WHAT are you talking about? It has somehow gotten much, much better. I don't know what triggered it, or what stopped it. I am seeing my dr. later this month. The neuro had no idea what I was talking about, maybe because I didn't make sense of what I was saying?? I do hope you will get better. I really had a difficult, frustrating period when it was happening.
love,
Sandra
