Hi Chris :hugbetter:
(((((((Chris))))))) I hope things improve for you soon.
No you are not the only one, I can stand an awful lot of things but when it comes to MRI's I take the lalaland medication every time  We are usually in there for a long time too and its not a pleasant experience for some of us. So whoever made you feel like a baby, I'm sure they would have trouble dealing with even half of what you have to (you might like to remind them of that fact!
Good luck with your results and take it easy.

Hi Christine
I hope you feel better soon. I guess I'm a big baby too, I was told today when I have to have an MRI they will knock me out, I'm claustrophobic and MRI's are just not something I can handle. Good luck with the MRI, and let us know how it goes.:)

Hi Christine,
I'm sorry to hear that there were some problems with your test results and I hope that with treatment they will resolve themselves.
As for the MRI, and Miss Snooty. I spent about 40 minutes in the machine myself last week. They had two - one with a large diameter and one with a fairly small diameter. They took me into the room with the machine that had the smaller diameter and asked if I would be okay with that. They said the other gal they needed to scan wouldn't fit into the smaller machine (well, not many people would and I barely did myself).
I almost ran to my purse for some valium and/or contemplated asking for sedation. The problem with me was that I had to drive myself home, about a 40 mile drive. The appt was at 6:15 AM and I was already tired, so I decided it would be best not to take anything.
It was very difficult for me. I wish I had had a ride home so that I could have taken the sedation. My strategy is to keep my eyes closed. I accidentally opened them after the first set of films were taken and had a pretty big anxiety attack. I almost pushed the panic button they give you. I just wanted to get it over with so I kept my eyes closed and tried to picture good thoughts, places, people I love, etc.
Miss Snooty needs to be sent to that place Lily and her gangsters send the meanies!
I hope it goes well and no, you are not a baby, you are realistic.
Love and hugs.:)

Hiya Chris
I hope the changes he as made to your meds make a big difference to how you are feeling.
As for someone making you feel like a big baby for needing the sedation for the mri - ignore them, you can't help your phobia's. Ask this person what phobia they suffer from and then tease them about it - see how they feel. I have heard others mention in the past that they have also needed to be sedated- there is nothing wrong with it.
Good luck with the mri and your appt in 6 weeks.
Take care  Jo
