View Full Version : If you have technical problems

It's been brought to my attention that some people are having technical problems.
I have just upgraded the software to the lastest version, so hopefully that will provide some fixes.
I'm also reporting the server keep going down to the site hosts.
I've noticed that when some people are reporting problems they are using the old temporary url that we only used for a few days http://w11.eleven2.com/....
This will cause problems, including keep logging you out.
Please ensure that you only use the current url http://www.thelupussite.com/forum when using the forums.
It will also help if you clear out your temporary internet files and cookies, as the old address may still be logged in your cache.
If you still have problems I would need to know the following-
* What exactly were you trying to do when the problem happened?
* Exactly what happened and what error message did you get
Without knowing that in exact terms, there's nothing I can do.

Balla,
I have had this problem a few times so I added the message boards to my "favorites" and it comes up first thing that way.
Hugs.

Dear Toad,
Need to know what operating system you are using and if you are using a pc or Mac. Also need to know what browser you are using.
If you will e-mail me this info through the site, I will try to help you.
Wishing you better health, TAB

hi joanne i know little about lupus and even less about computers i have recently upgraded and because i am light sensetive i asked the chap who supplied it about a screen he told me i didnt need it because this is a plasma screen ??? regards george
Hi George,
An LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) monitor puts out almost no UV light compared to a CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) monitor. Plasma is similar to LCD so you should be fine. There are UV screen filters you can buy too that reduce UV light for monitors (If you think your monitor is causing problems for you).
I hope this answers your question. :)

I just tried to get into the chat room and I got there, but I've never been to chat rooms before so I guess I"m not real familiar with them. I couldn't figure out how to say something. Several people said hi to me and I felt like a heel when I couldn't figure out how to respond. I then was pushing icons and I accidently logged out so please accept my apologizes and I will try again or if someone can help? Help!

Hello brannangirl
You type what you want to say in the long rectangular box below the chat area and hit 'send'
I'll be looking out for you in chat :)

Hello Mazie
Sorry, I can't help you with this, if you are quite sure the MSN details are correct. If you delete the MSN handle and re-enter it, maybe it will be OK.
I can't see how the programme could tell it wasn't correct if in fact it is.
I occasionally typo screenname or addies I have been using for years without realising.
Good Luck

I set up a new thread today on nightly breathing problems. However, how do I read responses or where do I find them. Sorry, I'm new.
Hi kcooke and :welcome:
Here is a link to your thread:
http://www.thelupussite.com/forum/showthread.php?t=70751
If you look in the Symptoms forum you will see your thread titled "Nightly Breathing Problems". So main thing is to remember which forum you put it in and then you will be able to find it.
If you are really stuck you can click on your own name and you can come up with all of your own posts after clicking on 'statistics'.
Hope this helps,
love

If that's not the one you want then you can check all your posts by clicking on your name, going to statistics and accessing them.
