hey everyone. i have lupus and was diagnosed when i was 13. to everyone that know me hello. to others my name is cecee and i live in north carolina. hope to meet yall soon. for the past 4 days i have had pains in my right chest where my ribs first start. when i am laying down and get up thats when a sharp pain that feels like a spasm occurs. now its starting to hurt when i lay down also. this is affecting my dancing. also i have midterms on thursday and friday!!!!!!!!! arghhhhhhh so STRESSFUL:mad: i'm just wondering if anyone has these pains also. my doc told me to taKe motrin but that doesn't not really work that well. all it does it help subside the pain:sad: . plz write back and to all lupies BE STRONG AND STAY POSITIVE:wink2: :thumbs:

Hi ya ceccee:) sorry honey that you are not feeling well and have this horrible pain, but it is good that you told gp about it all and he has given you meds for it,,,:) it may just be that the m eds need to kick in before you may feel a little bit better, of which i am sure you will soon:) :) i myself have lots of pains all over the place, chest, arms legs etc, and i know they are so horrible, but they will go sweetie:) and before you know it you will be up and dancing, and back to yourself again,,, i cannot advice to much about it, as this is all new to me aswell, but before long you will have advice from the other more experienced members of this site contacting you,,,:) so honey what i am gonna do for you is prescribe,((((hug)))) ((((snuggles))))) and lots of :) :) and :lol: to help you on your way, and besides honey,,,, have you seen my picture, it could be worse you could look like me :lol: :lol: :lol: i

I have that same chest pain and my doc told me that it's costo, have you been checked for that?

i'm with you on the motrin not working there aren't any over the counter pain meds that do the trick anymore for me.
