Hi everyone,
I find out that I have Lupus 8 months ago. I was already almost 2 years trying to discover why I was having hives in my skin. I have a rashes all over my body but especially in my feet. It hurst a lot and scratches crasy...I don't know what to do anymore. I'm taking Plaquanel (Hidroxicloroquine) and also Neoral ( to help fight the hives). Sometimes I got some flares in the body for no reason but usually I got them after I do exercise. Last Sunday I try to play little tennis with my husband, and when I got home I got hives all over my feet and toes. I t has been bad for 3 days. Probably tomorow I can't go to work because if I walk it will get worse. I would like to share my symtons to see if anybody could help me. I saw pictures of Discoid Lupus on the internet and does not seen to be the one that I have. My e-mail address:lucci6168@yahoo.com
Thanks a lot, Luciana

Hi Luciana,

Welcome to the forum.

I'm sorry to hear yu have lupus. Apart from the skin issues, how are you being affected?

You say that you often get a flare after exercise... Where do you exercise? Is it outside? A lot of people with lupus are allergic to the sun, and being out in the sun will cause a flare. I wonder if this is what is happeneing to you.

Hives are one of the types of rashes that can happen with lupus. Do you have a dermatologist? A skin specialist doctor is the best one to look at and diagnose your rash.

Have you ever tried taking an antihistamine to help relieve the hives and itching? This might very well relieve the problem for you.

Take care
