I've read that RLS is a sensation of burning and a crawly feeling in the legs. Also, the involuntary movement of the legs.

I have the involuntary movement of the legs and the urge to move them along with the shin pain. (while in bed) The only relief I get is to move the leg around or get out of bed. I will see my rhemy in two weeks, just want to pass it around to you ladies.

thanks

Hi, Red Raven!
Sorry to hear that you're having these uncomfortable sensations. When they happen as you're trying to get some nighttime rest, it's especially frustrating.

As you may already know, there are now some things that can be done, but they must be supervised by a doctor. It's good that you'll see the rheumy in the near future.

I don't know if it's Restless Legs Syndrome or not, but it is worth getting checked. It's the best and quickest way to get the right help.

Nothing is worse than lying in bed and have your legs get "jumpy". Mine do these and it all but sends me over the edge. I can feel mine coming on, so I can try to preapre. My arms and legs get "nervous", meaning that it feels as if I am about to explode. It is hard for me to explain. When it occurs, it is like a nervous wave of bad energy coming over me and I just want to throw something and scream.

Anyway, I know they have a new drug on the market known as Requip that is for people with RLS. My grandmother uses it and swears by it. I on the other hand am reluctant to add another pill to my daily routine, so I do not ask for it. Talk to your doc and let him know what is going on. Hopefully you can get some much needed relief.

I also do the same as Chris and put a pillow under my ankles. It does help alot, I been doing this two years. It can drive my Hubby Jon potty, He says can't you lay still, BUT YOU CAN'T...

Found a great link on it
