Hi all

Well i finally got to see my gp yesterday about my swollen legs (finally - 2 week wait for appointment) and he was a bit concerned, especially as it came on quite quickly. He did a thorough check up and has arranged for me to have all my bloods repeated on tuesday. He thinks that it is something rheumy related tho.

In the meantime he has started me on a dieuretic. He also found while i was there an infected cyst in my eye (nice) which i have got antibiotic cream for  He said that it quite common in people who get frequent conjunctivitis and styes like i do. If it doesn't clear up within a month then he will arrange for me to see they eye surgeons to get it scraped out :faint:

I only have a week and a half until i see the rheumy so a copy of my blood results are being sent to him. I am to see my gp again in 3 weeks to see how things are going and to find out what was said at my rheumy appointment as he doesn't want to wait weeks for the official letter.

So that is me, i don't honestly think i can cope with anymore, i just want to feel better. I don't even want to feel great, just better would do  sorry, no more moaning from me, i should count myself lucky that my gp is taking me seriously i suppose.

Take care all, gentle hugs to you all.

Dear Tizzy
I am so sorry you are going through so much. I do understand what you mean about just feeling somewhat better for sure. I hope they get this problems under control real soon for sure. I cannot even imagine how painfull it is to have the swelling of the legs. You try to hang in there and i am thinking of you and hoping things get better real soon for you. Let us know what you find out please.

hi ya tizzy just to say sooo sorry what you are going through, i think that most of us feel like this most of the time if not all of the time, at least somethings are moving along for you, we all know that dx can be a long process and we have to change our lifestyles, i feel like sometimes that what is happening to me and so many of us is a common thing, even though it is so upsetting and painful, i am in pain most of the time, and it seems neverending, but there is light at the end of the tunnel for us all, and gradually we will all lead each other there, and get through this together, so hang on in there, you moan and groan as much as you like tizzy thats what where here for, take care and great big ((((hugs))))) london :)

Thanks london :)

It turns out that i am allergic to the dieuretics (typical lol) so i am going back tomorrow to get something different.

Less than a week to go for the rheumy now tho.

Another moan while i am here. I carried my youngest (nearly 3yrs old) up to bed on saturday, daft i know, but no one was here but me, and i was crippled afterwards especially with stabbing rib pains. Anyhoo, called my oh who came round and helped me upstairs and into the bath. Before i got in i took 2 painkillers. At this point he then decides to tell me that he thinks i am addicted to painkillers!! i really try to do without if possible, but sometimes i just can't take it anymore

(((((((((tizzy))))))))))) dont worry about what oh (btw who is oh?) said about the painkillers..........its not them suffering and waiting for answers. Some people really dont understand the pain that can come from these diseases.

Sending hugs and good luck with your appt.

:hugbetter:

Sorry Lily, oh stands for other half. He is actually my ex husband, who i have recently started dating again. I know he is a recovering alcoholic and i am sure there is some transferrance going on there with the whole addiction thing.

It just really upsets me as he seems to think the pain, fatigue etc is all in my head and all i need to do is pull myself together and get on with it

Thanks for the hug, i need it :)
