Tonight I noticed that a spot on my leg which had been an annoying bumpy rash for the last 2-3 weeks. The rash was colorless - but had bumps/lumps. I actually have scratched the tops of them off in a couple of places. Now the area looks like tiny blood vessles have pushed to the surface. They are very small, thin ones - looks like spider webs. Really strange. The area is still itchy and lumpy. Is this Vasculitis?
Also -tonight I removed the last of my summer toe nail polish and found what appears to be a small bruise under my big toe nail. My toe is not swollen - and I don't remember dropping anything on it in the past few weeks. I also noticed black dots coming out the top of both of my big toe nails - I've never seen that before either. Is this vasculitis?
I've been having really strange heart symptoms (high BP, high pulse and a heavy feeling in my chest) all summer. I've been in and out of the Cardio's office (and one trip through the ER) all summer and fall. I'm currently on a beta blocker which has significantly reduced - but not eliminated my symptoms.
If this is symptomatic of Vasculitis which Dr. do I need to see - my Rheumy, Cardio, Demry or GP? Is this an urgent thing or can I wait for my scheduled appt with my Rheumy in mid December?
It's just really wierd. Over all I've felt pretty good these past few weeks. I hope I'm not starting something eles...
Thanks for your help.
