Hello all!

I would like some advice on whether I should go and see my doc about some problems I have been having for the last little while.
I have been experiencing quite a lot of migraines/flashing light episodes, and my memory has been getting progressively worse. I just cannot recall events that happened even a few days ago, and whereas I used to have at least a little fuzzy memory, now there is just a blank that won't clear even with prompting. I am also having trouble reading things incorrectly too - seeing wrong words in text, and though I am a bit dislexic I have not had that before. I am getting words wrong as I speak too - just jumbling sentances or not being able to find the right words.
Is this at all normal for a lupie person, or should I be concerned? I am only 23 and have been diagnosed for five years, and am on Plaquenil and Diclofenac.

Please help! RM.

Most definately speak to your healthcare provider and quickly. While what you are describing could be some "lupie" moments, it could also indicate a different health problem, all of which need to be discussed....ASAP.

Hi Roseanne

I agree with Nancy that you should get it checked out. I know when I get my eye check up they ask me if I see flashing lights which I assumed from the Plaquenil is why they ask. I could be wrong. But the best thing is to call your doctor and tell them what is happening and they will either see you or advise you what or where to go.

I hope that you can get in today or tomorrow where the weekend is approaching.

Hope you feel better and find out what is causing the problem too.

Wishing you well.

Please do and go and see someone ASAP. I had some problems 4 years ago, turned out to be not good news at the time. Not that it is in your case, but worth getting checked. I hope you do get this sorted and not let it carry on no more

Hi Roseanne, A big "YES", always tell your dr. everything, no matter how big or how small you think it is or how important you think it is, he cannot help you b/4 things get worse, if you don't tell him early. Always tell him everything, wishes, love, and hugs. Let us know how you get along. We are here to support you no matter what your need is.

Yes, I would, let them run some tests just to be sure. On a side note, I am dyslexic as well and I do replace words with other words while reading. It happens to me all the time. Good luck!
