Hi, everyone....Was wondering if any one has had cramps that make your hands go ridgid, and sort of like a charlie horse, but in your hands?? I was just diagnosed, and was wondering what this is??? Sometimes I can get more than 6 in an hour.

Now, my husband would say that it is because I spend too much time on the computer or the telephone, but I think he is full of, well....................

Are you on any meds? Some can cause this. I take lasix and had a big problem with cramping in my hands till I started taking Klor-Con (potassium pills).

I also was getting these, along with getting them in my calf and feet and my sister recommended having my thyroid checked and long and behold my tsh was high(meaning I was hypo) it was very bizarre because I had been on the same dose of levothyroxine since being dx'd with Hashimoto'still after 6 wks my tsh level was still so high they elevated my meds one more time and FINALLY I have found some relief from the cramping for the most part.
I also though get cramps from overuse-so go figure.

I recommend having some bloodwork done so they can check your potassium, calcium, magnisium and thyroid levels. Take care.

I too get that but am not sure why. It mainly occurs to me in colder months, and actually when I'm feeling bad. Are u taking any NSAIDS? not sure if they would help or not. I was taking mobic but have discontinued it .

Take care
