Hi everyone. I thought I would update a little bit. We havn't been back tot he rheumatologist yet that is dec 18th. But Nicole has been sick for 2 weeks now with a dry/wet cough sounded like pneumonia again but her lungs were clear. She did spike another fever on tuesday at 103.7,I have the lab work for her to have repeated from the rheumy but where there were other symptoms I didn't do it. If it goes to schedule she should have another fever around dec. 8th or 9th then I will have the BW done and the urine she wants. I don't know how much that would tell.I just want an answer to why she is sick so much. She got accepted to pre-k she will start in afew weeks. She will be recieving special service as she is lacking in speech,Ot,Pt, and some other skills. But her ped said if her fever returns to call him because there is no reason for her to be coughing and if she gets a fever again. So we are just sitting tight. She usually never coughs so it is strange but not bizarre>
Is it possible for this to turn into pneumonia since she has been coughing so long? She has reccurent pneumoniaq. She is seeing an asthma an allergy on the 30th of nov. Becasue there is a family history of asthma. But I will update a little later on.
Thanks for reading and caring so much
Celina

Hi Nicole
I feel for you and your little girl and hope you will have some answers soon so at least you know what you are dealing with.
I doubt if any of us even those with medical knowledge can say if she will develop pneumonia this time or not. Sorry not to be more helpful.
All the best

she is doing better now. Her cough is lessened and her cough is more dry now and not as much. She has no fever and she seems like she is feeling better. This morning she did have a temp of 100.3 but didn't last very long.

Hi everyone. Nicole had a visit with the asthma and allergy doctor last week and the doctor thinks she has asthma but didn't give her the diagnosis but did give her a nebulizer to try. She still has the dry cough. It is dec 3rd so here we gho again with seeing if she can make it past dec 8 or 9th without a fever. If she gets a fever then I will more likely suspect the periodic fever the rheumy was talking about. She goes back dec 18th to follow up.
Let's hope she makes it past the 8 or 9th.
I'll let you know.

So far no fever but we have to get through tomorrow first. But yesterday afternoon she started with a viral type rash on her face. The strangest part was on one cheek (we were at a friends, this all happened within 1 1/2 hrs) she got aw couple spots like a viral rash on one cheek then she got what looked like 3 very deep scratch marks that got very dark almost purple and the viraly rash more noticable. I don't believe she scratched herself. Ony happend on one side but noe just a little viral lookin grash on still one side of cheek slowly going down her neck and near her ear. Strangest looking thing. But within a few hrs it lightened up alot.
What could it have been?
I will keep you updated what happens if she beats the 2 mth mark or not.
Thanks
Celina

She had her follow up yesterday. And everything looked good. The rheumatologist now doesn't think it is periodic fever because her fevers don't follow a pattern of it and the last few havn't lasted long enough. We also didn't get her blood done because she hasn't had a fever yet. But we go back in the spring for another follow up. She said hopefully her fevers will be resolved. but is anything comes up call. and said we can still have her blood work done when another fever returns.
