Hi Michelle,
I'm sorry to hear about the pain in your arms. Do you mean that you can't do anything with your arms or that you can't do anything about the pain?
I understand how miserable pain can be. Do you have a rheumatologist? Have you seen a doctor about the pain in your arms or about the rash on your face? What medications are you taking? What are your other symptoms?
I know you have made several posts here and you sound quite concerned about what is going on with you, but we cannot help you unless you can give us a little bit more information.
I hope you will give us a little bit more information so that we can help you. Also, do you have any specific questions? Have you reviewed the list of symptoms for lupus (there is a link on the home page)? Are you still in the process of finding a dx?
Hugs
Julie

You say you have a lupus doctor? But you have not seen him yet? Or are you waiting to see another doctor? Who dx'd you with lupus?
You say you are taking imuran and prednisone for your kidney? Do you see a nephrologist for this. What is the dx on your kidney? What is being done for your urinary infection?
Have you taken plaquenil before? If the rashes are related to lupus, then the meds you are on should help with the rashes. Does your doctor say why they are not getting better?
I read on another thread that you say you have had lupus for several years?
You seem to have many things going on that you are receiving treatment for. Answers to the above questions would be helpful.
We'd like to help but can only help if you will be forthcoming with information. Writing bits and pieces on different forums in different threads makes in near impossible for us to piece together your concerns. and help you.
Answers to the questions on this thread would be of great help in allowing us to support you and help you thru this ordeal. If you feel more comfortable just venting, that is fine too. It sounds to me like you are wanting answers to some questions of which we can be of little help without a coherent dialogue describing these problems.
Hugs
Julie

:) Hi Patch, let me put my two cents in, for what it's worth.Prednisone should cut the pain, however , it can cause weight gain. Plaquinel and imuran are both excellent meds, they work to slow down the progression of lupus. You should remember though, they both take time to get into the blood stream to begin working, and that can be several months. Lupus is called the disease of 1,000 faces, because everything imitates it and it imitates everything else. That is why it is so hard to diagnose. But do not give up, keep notes on what is going on with your body, so that you can make a copy of them to give to your dr. Tell him everything, nothing is too small to tell him.It sounds like you are off to a good start, be patient, it is a very hard disease to get under control. I am glad that you have found this site. We are all here to help and support everyone else. There is no question that you cannot ask on this site, so ask away, and we shall try our best to help. The more information that you give us about you and a certain problem, then the easier and quicker we will be able to help. We are not doctors, but we all share our experiences that we have had, and that gives help and support, and often solves the problem. So, I give you a very warm welcome to this site, and hope that you find that you like it here and you can share along with the rest of us. For right now, remember: 1--the sun is your enemy.
and 2--stress=pain. So relax, and know that we support you.:wink2:
