and pulled out a wierd hand thing. Well for the last couple weeks, my Raynauds has been screaming but all of a sudden I am getting this wierd thing going on with my hands. Not constatly, but speractic, i get awful pain points on my hands and when i look down at my hands where the pain is...either i have a new bruise or my veins seem to be buldging.
It seems to almost be a like contracting thing. Very painful at the time but it doesnt last. Goes back to the dull pain i have been having in top of hands until the next burst of pain. Very strange to me.
I have a rheumy appointment next week and will tell him but I thought i would get some feedback from you all until then.
Thanks in advance.
Ur friend, Dee

Hey gals i have a suggestion for you , i have found that this does a wonderful job for me .
For about 30.00 u can pick up a parrifinnwax hot bath for hans and feet , u would dip your hands in the warm wax after about 4-5 dips you place your hand in a glove lined with a plastic bag , and oh my how good it feels it helps with the joint pain and the inflammation , a side note its great for the skin .
Just some food for thought . ;)

Hi Dee,
It happens to me frequently. It seems like anywhere a vessel can cross a bone once it is inflammed is a target. Usually I try to elevate the area and apply a heating pad. Plus I concentrate on relaxing the area instead of tightening because of the pain. If your doctor has any other tips let us know.
Take care,
Lazylegs

Thank you for all the feedback. I was thinking it didnt have to do with the raynauds.??? I have had raynauds for many years and have never experienced this vein pain and bruising for no reason thing. I dont know though.
This is mostly bothering me on top of my hands and the underside of my wrists. But then again, I got a bruise out of the blue on the knuckle of my thumb where the big vein runs. And the bruises stay. Take time to go away like a real bruise.
I dont know...it all seems strange to me.
Thanks again everyone
Dee

Hi there, I also have suffered from Raynauds for yrs, and basically just put up with it. Mainly, my viens swell up terribly, and turn a terribly dark shade of dark blue. It's ugly to look at, but, be patient, and in about 30-to-45 minutes of sitting and calming down, it is gone, by itself. be well my friend.
