still hurting

today i gave in and called the rheu, to see what she said , she put me on preditzone for 2 weeks to see if it helps . Then she says she doesn't know about some of the symptons , so what do u do , just take it slow and sleep alot and go on . But no one understands whats is going on , and i don't even my self . I hope everyone is doing good and keep your head up .

Some of what is happening to you is happening to some of us here, so keep us informed and we may be able to at least ease some of the mental anguish. Definitely the prednisone will help. What doseage are you on? You should feel it helping in a couple or three days. I started at 50 mgs a day and am now after 6 months tapered down to 10mgs( 5 attempt)., but I bounce myself up to 20 or 25 if I get really bad. You have to taper down slowly too , I have found. Read some of the other postings here, seems everyone has a story about pred.

Hi Wayne,

I'm glad you rang the Rheumy, there are times when a short burst of pred will help immensely and other times where you may have to stay on it for a longer period of time.

It's disheartening I know, but as Larry said, if you look around and read on site you will realise you arent alone by any means, so dont hesitate to yell when things get too much, we all do it.

It takes time to let the other meds work and lets face it you have had quite an ordeal and have a lot of stress in your life right now :( so dont be too hard on yourself. Try and concentrate on one thing right now, some R&R, this is your bodies way of saying its a bit much right now you need to look after me. Do something relaxing and the world wont stop turning if you look after yourself.

finally i have gotten some relief, i think the pred has kicked in some , i am not hurting so bad , just acheing now so that is good . I pray this message finds each and everyone is doing good , and may god blessyour day . wayne:)
