I saw this in people magazine and thought it would be interesting.
Name your do not leave my home w/out item/items-when it comes to our beauty needs.

The must have items that I won't leave home w/ out are chapstick and lipstick w/spf15.:hehe:

I used to have a bag that stayed in my van-that had all my basics. Anywhere from my vitamins, TIDE to go stick(it really does work) and duplicates of make-up in make-up bag.
I always keep sunscreen in our cars and last but not least I have at least 2 hats at all times in the cars. I always try to be prepared. Now, I am not out about as much so I am not as organized.
Can't wait to see what 1-2 items that you absolutely must have.:wink2:

Nancy~deodrant???? would never have thought about that one-very good. I too have perfume w/ me it is travel size of Beyond Pleasues by Estee Lauder, it is in the bag.

We are looking for our must haves for hygene, cosmetics
and personal beauty needs.

In People Magazine~a lot of ladies would not leave their house w/out mascaras, eyeliners, blushes(I have a natural blush 24/7:blush: ) and foundations.

I am not one who has to have make-up on when I am out and about. My one sister won't leave home w/out her face on:hehe:
My hair is low maintenance put in a claw and go:rolleyes: Overall on a day to day basis I am pretty low maintenance(hubby would not agree:rolleyes: )

Chris~if we have hubby's wallet we can buy our beauty needs and whatever else our hearts desire:lol:

Loopy and Mandy ~ I am w/ you on the lip stuff if they are not protected from the sun I will get HUGE ugly canker sores and also we look good w/ a hint of color to our lips.

Goats~ wipes I too have those in my van and in my purse.
I also try to remember my H2O which does helps maintain our beauty:lol: In my bag I too have to carry immodium ad rolaids, sudafed and motrin(for anyone to use) . It sure is hard to be spontaneous when you are a LUPIE.

Lin~ I too try not leave home w/ out the purse-what beauty products do you carry w/ all the time?

Neongirl~Again I agree w/ the lips as a must have. I carry a grooming box that has tweezers, nail scissors, clippers and a file. This too goes in my "bag" as you now know why I keep the bag in my van:blush:

What we would want "spontaneously" that is your beauty must have.
I look forward to see what other items that I may have to add to my "bag".
Thanks,
Becca:p

Well, I reckon I'm doing OK if I remember to take a key to the house with me:rotfl: . Any thing else is a bonus:lol:

More to the point, is there a way to make husbands remember that if they take an umbrella out of the house, they need to take it everywhere else they go before coming back home with the umbrella again...

We lose at least one a week:rotfl:

it would be ready to go anywhere anytime
I will add to what is there already

lip stuff for the sun and cold
nail clippers( you never know)

small shampoo and body wash, ( when I go to aqua fit) or
IBS -shhhhhhhhhhh

do I have a suitcase full yet
hmm thinking
hat
comb ( for the thin falling out hair) maybe jell to keep it is place
no just kidding about the jell

I think that would be all I can carry,oh my poor back
or yes a days meds ,in cause I get lost and have to spend the night under a tunnel somewhere oh and food. -snack bars

Hi,
Goats-I do not carry my "bag" of goodies. I would croak-I am very weak in my arms.:hehe: I leave it in my vehicle at all times.
I started the "bag" because I was going back in forth between 2 schools that I worked at. This way I would always have my stuff rather than keeping a set of sundries at each school.
The other great thing I could straight from work and go out to dinner and I could get freshened up.
Then the other misc. items are my first aide kit:wink2:
The best part is I can keep my purse at a lighter weight-my hubby still ends up carrying them. He gets compliments on my Dooney and Burke bags-I do not:rolleyes: When hubby is not around I have daughter as my purse slave:lol:
I do not know about you all but my arms have been soooo bad that I can't wash or brush hair. They are almost always what is attack in a flare.
Well I have rambled on and probably lulled you to sleep.:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Have a marvelous Monday,
Becca:p

Goats,
Snack bars is a great thing to add to our "bag" or overnight bag:lol:
Regarding the hair-I carry a travel size Aussie Hair spray.
They do have travel size gel or heck we can put on our trusty and available hat:wink2: because it is in our "bag".

Seriously I noticed you said you use a comb and your hair is thin and falling out. I have gone thru this several times now.
Anyway, my beautician said to use a brush the nice ?hair ones. She said we need to brush our hair to stimulate the follicles.

I am also using Nioxin hair products and I think I may have caught this last hair loss adventure before the seeing thru straight to my scalp.
There you have it:)
I enjoy reading your posts-keep us laughing.:rotfl:

Sarah,
First, I want to know what type of sweets. Second,
Share w/ us about your sat/nav-I would love one.
How does it work? How is it comparing to others?
Are there a lot of bells and whistles?

Hi Becca, Any sweets will do !!! I normally have any hard sweets, i really love aniseed twist... yum yum
My sat nav is a Tom Tom one, its the basic model but it means you can go anywhere you like without getting lost. You just type in the postcode or address and it tells you where to go. You can even dowload different voices on it, at the mo ive got vicky pollard from Little Britain telling me how to get there !
Its such a good invention, im so glad ive got one !
You should get one if you can !
Love Sarah

Sarah,
I went to online shopping QVC.com and they have 6-7 types.
The lowest priced was in the $300-500 and then they had the creme de la creme $700. As soon as I get money coming in I will look into it. I love gadgets.
Have a good day,
Becca

For me the real question is what do you not take with you.
Bet your bottom dollar that what I leave at home to travel light, is the one thing I'll desperately want.

Don't carry a purse due to shoulder pain
If I can't put it in my wallet I don't need it (doesn't always hold true)

I have never been one to wear makeup...

I carry my inhaler (have one in each vehicle cause I would forget it )
A note book and pen because I forget stuff if I don't jot down notes
Chapstick of some sort with sunscreen in it

But the one thing I never leave home without is my watch...don't know why but being without it causes me to have panic attacks...that sounds kinda funny but for anyone that has or has had a panic attack it isn't very funny

Last bad one I was about an hour aways from home and looked and it was not there...got panicky and drove all the way home to get it...I had taken it off to wash hands...only when I was home did it come to me I could have run into WalMart and got a $6 one to do til I got mine back on my arm...had to go back the next day and finish the errands I was running when the attack hit

My Hats yes I keep 2 in my car
Not to be gross, but I have to have a barf bucket:sick:

My guilty summer pleasure- the book I am reading
My Starbuck gift cards hubby gives me.
My Purrell wipes
My DD or My DH

Let me know what you cannot leave home without this sumer.

Well now,

3 years ago I left my ex. Rather fast, as in, one minute there, next in my car - question of personal safety.
The problem was I then had to "go into hiding" as he was doing the rounds of anyone I knew trying to find me.
This happened on a Saturday at mid-day and guess what, neither myself nor the friend helping me thought about the fact that, in the country in Belgium, you absoultely cannot find a pair of knickers to buy on a Sunday !!!

So, since I have always said that I should have a clean pair of knickers and a toothbrush in the glove locker. In reality I'm not that organised but you've got me thinking

don't laugh but my handbag/purse has gotten bigger , to a backpack like the students use,

I decide at the last minute to go out and forget everything, so now it is always ready to go.

From water, to meds, book, sunblock, hat, wipes, you name it and it might me in there.
still there are somethings I forget,
I think the extra knickers sounds great:)

Oh!
I just wanted to say that I found the neatest collapsable hat at Target! It comes in a small circular pouch..and is pink ( love pink ) anyway..The hat has a large brim and to collapse it..I just twist it into a fiqure 8..Way Cool! :)
It folds into a small 6 inch circle and fits into a little zippered pouch that clips right onto my purse. It was about 6 dollars from what I remember..

 on the cell phone "hopefully" Sandy.................I really really try and remember mine but it doesnt always happen!

The hat sounds a really nifty idea. I just bought two collapsable cancer council hats that are supposed to be 50 SPF. I bought them when visiting my son because my close woven raffia favourite got squashed in my luggage in the airplane. These are wide-brimmed and squash up to nothing so I can carry them around much more easily anyway :hehe: One in the car and one hopefully I grab on the way out the door.

Sandy-the hat sounds great
Clare-You all have not had a real summer have you?
Katherine-I would have never thought of undergarments:lol:
Lily-I have a woven hat in my car that is close to its lasts days due to being squashed.
Amanda-The reason I listed my DH and DD was because they too are my pure carriers. My arms are very weak and wimpy.
That darn cell phone-I sure do forget it a lot. It is such a lifesaver too, but I just can't seem to remember it always:hehe: .

I want to see more of you you all bring to see what I am missing.

This topic is just great. I loved reading everybodys replies too. I guess I leave a lot in my car.
I leave home with my cell phone and purse. In my car I keep lots of things though :) Like life savers for those low sugars moments, hand sanitizer for the germies, hats for every occasion ( OK my fav baseball cap and a sun hat) an umbrella a flashlight and a whistle. That way if I forget something I can whistle and someone can come and help :)
