Someone told me in another post I made that I might want to post my symptoms, so here I go!

I'm always very tired (fatigued?) and weak. I can remember during marching band where it would feel like a wave washed over me and things would start to get a little fuzzy and I'd need to sit down. I get body aches, especially in my back, all the time and my headaches have gotten much worse. I'm freezing most of the time and I go numb very quickly in the cold weather. Those symptoms are pretty regular and felt most of the time...these next few are not. I go through phases of nauseousness accompanied with severe fatigue. Lately and at the moment I have been experiencing a sore throat that hasn't gotten much better over the last 2 weeks, an apparent ear infection, migraines, and of course the tiredness and weakness. It feels like I'm out of breath all of the time-- just going up the stairs makes my heart pound. I have pretty regular cramps in my lower abdomen area, sometimes they come like short painful stabs. I have days where I can not focus, and I have to make myself go to bed and try the same task later the next day. It may good to know I was diagnosed with depression and I am on Lexapro for that.

I think that covers a lot of it. Thanks for any feedback! I know it's a lot to read, sorry!

God bless,
Dana

Hi Dana,

Welcome to the site. :) Your post wasnt any longer than many of ours, and I hope you will continue to talk to people here who understand what you are going through.

Your symptoms sound very similar to many of the symptoms I was experiencing before I was diagnosed a month ago with lupus.

Have you seen a doctor and let him/her know of your concerns? It can be difficult to get a diagnosis of lupus because it looks like so many other conditions and the symptoms can come and go and seem vague, but I know how disabling and disturbing it can be to feel so unwell.

It is helpful to keep a journal or log of all your symptoms so that when you do see a doctor, you can have that to show him/her. Be persistent until you get answers and treatment for whatever ails you.

I have 2 children in marching band-a daughter in college and a son in high school. Band is a lot of fun, but physically demanding. I hope you get to feeling better soon! Continue to let us know how you are doing.
HUGS,
Holly
