Hello Edio,
I would try to see another neurologist. What do you mean by "pain"? I don't know anything about the shapes you are seeing, but I have parathesia and neuropathy. There is a whole lot of testing that can be done for neurological problems. If you have tingling or numbness, did the dr. do any studies such as an emg or NCV? Did they check both left and right sides to compare? What about checking for toxins, diabetes, etc? Brain MRI?

I had a similiar experience. I went to another doc who said that even though my studies were in normal range, they were assymmetric (when comparing left and right) which indicates an autoimmune cause. Still no diagnosis but this has helped continue me down the path to finding the cause. I hope you make some progress soon.
Best wishes,
Laker

I just wanted to let you know that I have fired 4 neurologists!!!!
My rheumy taught me a decade ago that patients are consumers! If a doctor isn't right for you-it is up to you to fire them!
My INR's are always all over the place. On the same dose of coumadin, I can be a 3.0 one week, then up to 6 and down to 2.

well, ask your rheumy who sounds a good doc. i heard that neuro problems often don't show up in tests, but they r diagnosed anyway becouse of the evidence of symptoms.... but i am not so sure....

Hi,

I am wondering just what sort of examination the Neuro gave you? And did he listen to all your symptoms and history? If not then run, dont walk to your rheumy and tell them what happened and ask their help in finding a new Neuro. As many of us here can attest there are Neuro's and Neuro's. Some are really thorough and some arent.

Doesn't sound like a good neuro if he didn't even do any tests. Did he?

If he didn't order any tests, etc. than I would seek out another one for another opinion.

Sometimes they just aren't thorough enough.

Have you had your eyes checked?
