New symtoms related to meds???

Have any of you had any problems going off high-dose CellCept, moderate dose methotrexate, low-doseDHEA (25 mg.)? Or anything having to do with Lamictal?

I've suddenly started to have horrid acne (which heals so slowly, due to the immune-suppressed body) that leaves my face looking quite ugly. I've also started to have bad hot flashes (flushes), and I hardly had any when I went through menopause.

My rheumy doesn't think it's related to anything, but the timing matches closely with changes in the drugs mentioned above.

Any other ideas?

I do not know if this will help but when I was taking dhea I had a horrible problem w/ acne and some facial hair issues.
Dhea did not make any difference really so I stopped.

When I stopped the DHEA I had similar symptoms and I am wondering if it is because it plays such a role in hormones and with hormonal change comes sweats and pimples.

I would think the other meds could produce the sweats, but probably not the pimples.

Just my educated guess which really doesn't mean much ! :hehe:

I had a similar problem 2 weeks ago when I forgot to take one of my 4 Lamictal tablets for 2-3 days and was told by the neurologist that lowering Lamictal can do that.

What kind of dose are you on (I'm on 100 mgs, so I was getting 25 mgs less for those 2-3 days)? Maybe you can lower it slower?
