How often are your flare ups

Seriously! This is rediculous! I had a flare up for the last three weeks and felt good the last two days and this afternoon I start again flaring with new symptoms! :( It just doesnt seem fair does it?!

I am so new to this all. How often do u flare? Or does anyone know? How long do they last? Do meds help?

I would love to hear some of your experiences with this. thank u! Encouragement would help too :)

Before I was dx and received proper treatment I think I was in a constant flare :(. Now that I'm on a host of meds I still flare from time to time. They can last days, weeks, months, etc. My rheumy gave me a Medrol dose pack which is small doses of Pred over a course of 6 days to use during a flare but I've not used it yet, it's supposed to help. Are you on any meds to help with joint pain, etc? I do hope you feel better soon! Hang in there, it can take a while to get a dx!!!

I seem to be in an almost constant flare, with short duration lulls during each day, then into super flares just out of the blue. This has been going on for at least 15 months .... I lose track. Seems stress is a big mitigating factor for me, followed by over exertion ( and I mean just mild exertion compared to "normal' people).
My Dr. has just increased my pred from 15 mg to 25 mg but I don't seem to be seeing any improvement.
I hope by telling you this that you will feel fortunate when your flares start to ebb.
I really think we all should pool some money together and buy an Island paradise with servants and drs. to care for us all .... ah...well....:wink2:

I'm in a continual state of highs and lows with symptoms, no two days are alike really, its like how long is a piece of string I find, I've had since around 7 yrs old following a major illness, now 42 (nearly):ohno:
