Hi there

I have had neuropathy for many years - you should ask your doctor to refer you to a neurologist for nerve function studies. I have had many studies done over the years, and have sensori-motor axonal neuropathy. Originally I had pain, but now my main symptoms are numbness and loss of nerve function in my feet and ankle. I also have loss of axons in the muscles, which means that some of my muscles don't work as they don't get any nerve input. But, this is because I have a motor aspect to my neuropathy, it is more common for people to just have sensory neuropathy (which is what you are describing. Motor function loss was my first symptom).

The tests are great, the first one will give you a base line, and then they can be repeated to see how you are getting on.

hope the meds help with the symptoms
