I had a healthy baby girl!!!

Hey to everyone. Just thought I'd let you know that I had a healthy baby girl called Caitlin on the 4th March weighing a wopping 8lbs 15 1/2oz....so delighted.

My waters broke the night I was due to be induced (at 39 weeks due to my SLE) but after 59 HOURS of first stage labour the docs eventually let me have a c-section.

I have thrombocytopenia and APS so docs were concerned about clotting and bleeding so I had general anasthetic and was completely knocked out. Caitlin was at risk of also having thrombocytopenia (1 in 4 chance) but her count was 307 by the time we were discharged and she was given the all clear.

After a terrible pregnancy, I was so tired and sore and was off work sick since August, I am feeling so well, can not believe it!!! Shes a good baby and well worth everything. Thanks for your support over the last nine months.......:)
