A trip to Eurodisney (and a French hospital)

Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to share a rather interesting trip with you all!

As most of you know my 12yr old Robyn has SLE and recently has been doing really well, health wise as well as at school. Her little sister, Katie 9, has also been doing well at school and has just been dx'd as hypermobile and not having SLE:)

Cause for celebration....take the kids to Eurodisney for Easter and let them have fun 8) Prepare well for Robyn, lots of drugs etc :lol: and away we go.........

Arrive on Sunday and have a nice day except for tummy upset (mine) but its ok. Katie complains of tummy pain on Monday, think its same as me !! By Wednesday Katie has been rushed to hospital to have her appendix removed, and has to be left in France with her Dad for 3 days as Robyn is running out of those well prepared drugs :rotfl:

Anyway long story short and all, Katie is home now and doing well....but it just goes to show you just can't prepare for everything :lol:

I am so sorry to hear about your what was supposed to be a wonderful vacation ended up not being so good at all.I am just so glad to hear that everyone is home and okay finally. I hope your tummy is doing oksy also. I hope your family gets another chance soon to go on a vaction like that and everyone is feeling good to. Take care of yourself stephanie as i know u get stressed out to with taking care of two kids that need extra attention. Hope to talk to you soon.Oh and i still need to clean my bathroom to:rotfl: .

Isn't that just the way of it - you think you have everything foreseen and then sideswiped by the unpredictable. What a shame for you all. I hope Katie makes a full and speedy recovery.
And all goes well on your next family break.

so sorry to hear that Robyn was ill and had to be admitted to a foreign hospital. It never rains but it pours. Hope she is feeling much better now and is recovering well at home.
