I am a dork!!!

I really did not think the flouresent lights at work were bothering me. They have a cover over them but I do not know if it is the kind that blocks the uv. I know I am sun sensitive, rash, fatigue, pain.

Last week I found a sunblock I liked, not much smell! 8) So I started wearing it everyday to see if any improvement occured. I usually hurt by the end of the workday and I have to say I think it helped. I havent been as tired and my joints are somewhat less painfull. Hope it is not just a fluke because I really feel a little better.

Oh Lisa,
You certainly are NOT a dork! :p But I hope it does work for you long term. I too have wondered about those covers.

There have been many times when I start feeling ill and have looked up to see what the lighting situation is in my environment. Quite often the flourescent lights are covered, but still made me feel badly. I sure hope that's not your case in the long run.

Lisa I don't think you are a dork or I'd have to call myself one too. I had the same thing at a conference last weekend, couldn't figure out why I was so tired and achy, until I looked up. I hope the sunscreen keeps working for you and you feel much better.

Isnt it funny how we always second guess ourselves and our first instinct is to think 'no, this couldnt be the reason.....':)

If I am in a shop or office that I dont know and I start to feel funny its only at that point that I think to look up. Invariably there is a bright flourescent or halogen light beaming down on me:( Pharmacies are the worst culprits in my opinion:rolleyes:
