vertigo

I have been under stess lately. I am expericing a lot of vertigo and balance issues. Not sure what I need to do. There was a recent death in the family and has brought on my flu like aches and my rash back along with this vertigo. My dx is FM and my dr. said I don't meet the criteria for Lupus yet. I just meet about 4. I am under the reumy and a neuro's care. Does anyone have any advice for vertigo and nervosness?

Sorry you are feeling lousy. I am just getting over a bout of vertigo, I do have a medication for it, but sorry can't remember the name of it at the moment. As far as the nervousness, you could try deep breathing, and if that doesn't help, maybe your doctor could give you medication for it. It will be interesting to hear what others do for thier vertigo, I sure wouldn't mind the advise myself. Hang in there and I hope you feel better soon.

are u on plaquenil ? one of the bad side affects according to paperwork that came with the meds is vertigo. just check with your doc. it could be another thing and should be checked . as far for the panic attacks they have given me clonazepam. you can ask your pharmasist they sould have a good idea of what there is out there for you. good luck, i hope you feel better soon
