I am taking 15 mg metho weekly and have been trying to do some very short- 20 minutes or so a day excercise. My joints in my feet bother me the most, am just curious if I should continue, excercise is good for me, but don;t want to overdue it or cause more lupus issues. I don;t excericse when I am not feeling up for it or feet joints too sore, but like to get out, bike slowly and enjoy the outside and a little excercise. Just curoius what other people do - hate to have lupus control me.;)

Hello,
I decided to wait until the Metho kicked in to start excersicing. I would wait until then to start...I know how you feel. It took 3 months for the Metho to work on me...and I was on 25mlg, once a week.
Good luck and many blessings,
Geri

Thanks for the note - want to try and have normal life, sometomes it's hard. Have upped my metho dose and I am feeling better so doing some exercise at least gives me feeling of "normal" and I don;t do it if I have a bad day.

hi there
my rheumie once told me exercise that makes your joints hurt more if fine as long as they don't hurt more the next day.
I go to the gym on alternate days as rest days are important with exercise, gives the body time to recover (I do an hour long exercise programme). I also walk my dogs each day, but I don't count that.
Exercising in water can be a great thing to do if joints are a problem as it factors out a lot of stress on the joints.
