Hi all,\ It has been awhile since I wason here, first let me say I have been dgn with lupus, hoshimoto disease thyroid, Ulcerative colitis and ra. so i am on planqall, prednisone levoxys atenal, protonix, i think that is it,

so let me begin by saying, i have been sick for 3 weeks on and on startes out with terrible itching than the hives and the rash on face that comes and goes, terrible stomach pain and nausea, than the night time stuff my legs than my feet, and than the fatigue this was all at once.

ok i called my endo and my rheumy oh yeah i also checked my sugar levels just to see and it was 157 with nothing to eat or drink since the night before ,, so than i called both docs no one called me back felt ok just tired a few days later now today the feeling of my muscles sore, heavy weak they felt.

got to work and my feet felt like i was walking on glass felt like there were rubber bands wrapped really tight on my toes. they gor swollen and purple, i cried so hard called the rheumy doc he is on vac,,, so another doc called me 5 hours later,,, no help, and said well you are not my patient so you have to wait, i asked him what i could to treat these symptoms and he just ignored me !!#(&(@&$*@

what is the deal i am not happy and it seems as no one is hearing me and we have no health insurance maybe that is why,,,, i know that it is that neuropathy that people are talking about what can i do to make them see i can not sleep because just to have the sheets touch me hurts.. any suggestions to get the right meds..

ps a month ago i had such locking joints and terrible pain in my fingers i am used to that but i have not had any pan meds since august i believe i asked him for some and he said he can not give me any, had to go to my gp.... i hate her she is a jerk.... how can you get people to hear you and to actually help you?

You really sound like you have really visible symptoms too... so it makes the treatment you got all the more apalling. I would think the other rheumy in the practice would have to fit you in; and it's easy to wonder if the no insurance thing is playing a role in this.

I don't have any answers for you other than be as clear with the doctors about exactly how much pain you are in, and all the ways this is affecting you. Neurology consult may be in order for the neuropathy type pain & usually something along the lines of amitryptaline (cheap) or Neurontin (expensive but now generic is available I think...) is used to treat nerve pain. Oh, and a pain treatment specialist may be necessary if it goes on too long. Regular doctors are really leery of prescribing anything beyond an NSAID these days for long term use.

Good luck.
