about my rituxan saga - the 18 month battle, then family wanting to pay but no one would administer it (to risky for the private hospitals, if I paid for it then I couldn't be a patient in the public hospital), the saga of my awful reaction to it and sojourn in icu, etc etc. Plus of course my sky dive, I had to get that in there.

I have no idea when it will be on, it will be a few weeks or a month or so, I will let you know.

Actually it was great fun - a very dear friend of mine flew back from Canada where she has been living for about 8 years as she has just got a job producing this programme. She has a disability (not lupus) but it gives her a big insight into it all. Plus she was my chemo buddy when I went through my cytoxan, and came to each of my treatments in the first series (we ran riot in the hospital!). Anyhow, I picked her up from the airport yesterday, and we had a fabulous day hanging out together. I took a days leave from work yesterday, and today when I came home from work we did the interview sitting in my living room. It was a lot of fun, felt like I was just chatting with my friend (which I was, of course).

She has left for Wellington (an hours flight away) where her job is, but I will be seeing her in a couple of weeks as I am going to Wgtn for my job for 2 days, so will extend for the weekend. Yay! Having her one hour away is a heck of a lot better than having her on the opposite side of the globe.

anyway, this is a link to the programme she is taking over - she starts tomorrow

It is called 'One in Five'. I will let you know when it is on - some of you may be able to listen to it over the puter, though hopefully it will be on as a podcast so you can listen to it any old time which is even better. And hear my kiwi accent!!!!

Anyway, we are having great fun thinking up new topics for her radio programme - I am keeping her well fed with ideas.

love to you all

I needed some good news and this does it !

I am so glad that this is going to be done for you.

I am not sure I can get there here, but when you are on, let me know and maybe there can be a written interview I can read?
