Hi sweetums :)

I'm hazarding a guess that unless you have had chest pain that this is more to do with muscle weakness/pain. Its used to measure several things, the fact you have MCTD "may" indicate that something is having a go at your muscles. But wait and see what the doc says first, it can occur because of certain drugs etc too, like some of the lipid lowering ones for high cholesterol and also from muscle injury from any cause. I have no idea how the numbers would reflect which might be the case.

Here's what FP notebook has to say about it and the many possible causes. They do use it to monitor heart attacks, but its also associated with some autoimmune diseases, so dont pay too much attention to the heart attack scenario.

They may run more tests, a few sites I looked at said they dont panic unless it keeps going up on subsequent tests, but hey I'm no doc, yours will know more Lisa.

Sending hugs and let us know what you find out ((((((((Lisa))))))

love
Lily
