Everybody!
October is the official Lupus Month, or so I am told. I start university in September and will be holding (hopefully) several fundraising events inside and outside of school. If you live in London and would like to get involved in some way, send me a private message.
I'd love it if people would come along and show their support, obviously I'll update with the information nearer the time. I have a few plays which I have written with playwright Tom Stoppard (name-dropper), as I write Scripts at the Royal Court theatre in London, and I'll probably put one of those on with a few actors, all proceeds will go to Lupus charities.
Also I'll have a dinner/cocktail evening somewhere in central London, so if you're in London I'll expect you to turn up for some fun and games, and give a few hard earned pennies to help the cause.
We need to spread awareness of Lupus, I'm sure a lot of you are victims of stupid questions about it (OMG IS IT CONTAGIOUS??), and like me, may be sick of it.
My boyfriend is an animator, and we are both in the process of talks with Channel 4 about showing a short animated film to spread awareness of lupus, to be shown in October on the channel.
