Endometrial biopsy

Hello Everyone,

I went to my GP yesterday and she is going to schedule me for an endometrial biopsy. I'm having a brownish discharge for about 5 to 7 days after my period and clotting a lot also.

I was wondering if anyone else has had to have this done and if it was thougth to have anything to do with lupus or fibro.

My mom had it done; I don't think it is likely to be related to lupus or anything autoimmune and/or fibro. In her case she had uterine hyperplasia, and got a hysterectomy at age 40.

I agree that uterine bleeding is not listed among any criteria I know of that has to do with lupus or fibro.

It sounds like you're in good hands, though, as far as getting the appropriate procedure done to take care of the problems you're having.

I have had two LEEP procedures done and they were not really that bad. I would think that they would be similiar. They will more than likely give you some numbing medication.

From what you have described, you are right were you belong. It is always best to have unusual bleeding and discharge checked out. I wih you luck and hope that nothing bad is found.

From what I remember, it's often done these days in the "office". This may vary by hospital though. Good luck - let us know how things turn out for you. Hopefully it's nothing!
