I decided today to do some things that i never do. I GOT OUT FOR FUN and it was the greatest thing.
Me and my fianc'e picked up 2 of my grandchildren. Took em out for lunch at cracker barrel. Then watched the smiles :) :) on their little faces after they looked around the gift shop for some candy and toys. We came back to our house so they can see their great grandmother and enjoy their toys. They decided to splash around in the spa on my patio and play with their bubbles and toys.
When it was time to take them home they gathered their little shopping bags of goodies and off we went to their house. We walked them in and said goodbye with kisses and hugs. As we walked out the door they were getting ready to go for a swim with their mommy and daddy and younger sibling.
After dinner my fianc'e and i went out to play minature golf. We played very well and won a free game, so it told us we have to go back again. :wink2:
Today was the best i have had in a while. I decided to leave all my aches and pains and sorrows behind, because life is worth living with or without Lupus getting in my way. Hope all of you will have a good memorial weekend.
hugs to all.........Florie :)

Glad you had such a wonderful day Florie. Sometimes time spent with children encourages us to focus on the simple things and appreciate life all the more doesn't it?

My own children are getting big, but the little girls next door make me smile when ever I hear them plotting and planning. Everything is exciting and wonderful to them. They love people and animlas and plants and sweets and birds and creepy crawlies; pink things and curly things, etc. etc. Absolutely lovely.

When bringing a smile to a face is as simple as spending a little time and only a few pence it is a great thing. My own children are at the teenage cynical phase of life - how I remember all that little child sweetness!

Well done Florie and well said. Changing our attitudes and mind set can often take us a long way. I find it very easy to fall into negative ways of thought. I make a conscious effort these days to have a treasure chest of good experiences that I can open when times are not so good.

When I am very low I remember that each day I have to find something amusing, see something beautiful and learn something new. All these little tricks are so important when we live with so much that nothing can be done about except cope as best we can.

Cheers

Florie

Sometimes even changing little routines helps too...walk a different way, take a different bus we do get so stuck with this disease and also stuck in a rut

Well done on making the effort
