Heelep, heelep!
I now have new Mac (old learner pc user), and have just learned how to download pics from digital camera. Indeed - have just learned how to use digitall camera without breaking it.
How do I send my pictures to the gardening section in just for fun / off topic?
I don't mean how do I get to the gardening bit, just how in the heck do I share them with this site?
I have managed to share / send them using ordinary e-mails to friends (I think ... they might ell me otherwise yet!).
Gratefully (in anticipation)

Hi Alwin
You cant just post a picture here direct from your PC the same way as you can attach it to an email. It has to be first of all uploaded onto a web based photo hosting site (I use Photobucket for example). Once it is uploaded it is then saved in a format which allows you to copy the link and post it here.
Basically you register your name on the photo site and then you can upload any amount of pictures from your PC.
Once you have your pictures uploaded, you can copy the link to the message boards.
It sounds complicated but I promise you its not! Have a bash!
Let us know how you get on!
Luv n stuff

I uploaded them from the digi camera and saved them in a file eg my documents on my computer.
I then hit the attach files under additional options below.
A new window pops up. I hit the browse my comp bit to look for the piccy I had saved ( which was small and not too big said goldylocks) and up- loaded it ,and hey presto a link was formed for every one to click on and see my piccy.
I didnt use no bucket?
I must be missing something?
Good luck

Hi Alwin,
You have a new Mac? I take it then you have iPhoto and downloading your pictures in there? At the bottom of your iphoto page click on email. Then choose the small picture size.
Once it has made an email, I just click on the picture and drag it to my desktop. I then go to photobucket and download it in there. I then copy the URL link and paste on the board.
I hope that has helped.

Hi Alwin
I should have been a bit clearer:blush: You need to use a web based photo site if you want the IMAGE to appear - otherwise you can just put the links like Nicky does:blush:

Ok so now I can do it the way I would prefer which is as Joan said to do it the bucket way and have an instant image. So thankyou Joan:)
I have heard about this photobucket as I think people use it for ebay etc.
I have learnt something more today.
What I really have trouble with , probably as I do not do it often enough is fiddling about with the image size. Its always touch and go.
