Hi Grannygrunt:)

Welcome to the Forum. It sounds like you have been through a lot over the years:hugbetter:

Where are you now with your investigations? It is terrible to feel so ill and not to have answers:worried: If we can help in any way we certainly will.

Take care for now
Looking forward to getting to know you

many thanks for the hugs, greatly appreciated. as I have titled, "how do you cope?", being a mum of 5, their must be days when all you want to do is call up in a ball.Have they given you any medication yet? I already take df118,s for pain after having 2 operations on my lower spine, so I dont think I will get anything else until a diagnosis is final(heaven alone knows when that will be). Have read on another lupus site that a negative anti DNA does not necesserily mean no lupus, so lets hope a breakthrough for us is around the corner. take care of yourself, granny grunt:hehe:

Granny,

A lupus diagnosis at times is a matter of ruling out anything that can cause the symptoms. Lupus mimics so many different things that it can be difficult to diagnose. Take some time to read over the post on Lupus Criteria and Symptoms it is pinned at the top of the Not Yet Diagnosed Forum.

I do not have the anti-dsdna however I have other positive blood work. My ana is 1:1280 which is extremely significant. It is very rare to get diagnosed with lupus without some positive blood tests. The post I mentioned above will clarify things for you.

Take care,
Karen
