Just when i thought i was doing okay, Saturday the sun shone i went out on a job, drove to Wales and back, all fine.
Then wallop the next day i'm like a bear with a sore head. Nasty obnoxious feeling like something on the bottom of your shoe and tired like i'll sleep a week. Skin is itching like mad on hands and face. Sometimes i hate this life. But there you go that's Lupus for you.Having a few days resting trying to get my head straight again so as to function properly.

one of the key things to learn with lupus and for some it takes time the important thing to learn is you have to pace yourself. some days it might be hard but you have to do it if you dont want to keep overworking yourself. it takes a lot of getting the hang of at first but if you want to you can do it. best of luck with the summer be sensible in the sun it doesnt agree with lots of us with lupus maybe your dr could help and give you something for the itiching remember dont do too much

I hear you Russ, the sun is Kryptonite for me as well. I am still looking for that safe zone of knowing what is too much. We can't live everyday exactly the same though, that would be too boring anyway. We just have to remember (A challenge in itself sometimes) to avoid the triggers that put us in a bad state.

I got a good sunburn last summer spending too much time in a pool on a hot day. I'm not planning on doing that one again!

Oh my Russel

I know what you are feeling about the lupus anyway. I am having that feeling big time lately to. I just keep telling myself it is not going to beat me here in the lupus area. I been having a terrible time with my brain big time latey that seems to get worse every day. I just keep telling myself i do have a lot to keep fighting this silly disease for. I look at my hubby and my beutiful children and say yes i do have to keep going.I hope you can get to that place with yourself to. I to my body does not like the sunshine i get so beat red in the face and hurt like heck is what it does to me. I love the outdoors to grrrr. I always had trouble with the sun though just keeps getting worse every year. I guess like tom said we cannot stay out of it completly we just have to find that safe zone and use lots of sunblock and wear a hat maybe. Just an oppinion hopw it help you some. take care Russell.(((((((((((((hugs))))))))))hope you feel better real soon.
