hi everyone, hope you are all well.

i went for my tribunal today,as most of you know after recieving middle rate care/high mobility they stopped it,and decided to give me low rate care,no mobility.

today they reinstated the award back, the tribunal was horrible and degrading,i was shocked to have to be going through it considering i put in lots of evidence from the health service docs, rhumy, occupational therapists reports all backing my claims of disability, they still made me explain my illness, anyway after lots of crying the outcome came good.

they have awarded the award only for two years, the usual is three years,so i might have to go through the same procedure all over again.

i spoke to D.I.A.C.who helped me with the tribunal, they said they are clamping down with everyone, even those with other conditions that can go into remissions,so at least i suppose it isnt
personnel to me,as i was really starting to think it was a grudge against me,PARANOID doesnt even begin to explain how they made myself/husband feel today,it was like being in court for a crime.

anyway its over now for two years, anyone claiming for D.L.A. the statement you put in your claim pack will reflect on the decision,so anyone wanting to claim please make sure you get professional help when filling out these forms,as they will not give to you with any faults on the forms.

i hope this helps with those of you trying to get help with your finance.

any queries about claim packs dont hesitate to contact me.

best wishes jo8

Hello Joanne

Nice to meet you and well done with the appeal. I have been through two of them now. They are degrading and upsetting and very stressful, but if we don't appeal we could lose what we are entitled to. The first one I had proffessional help with and wonk, the second one was last year and I did it all by myself and won again. I wouldn't hesitate to appeal again if necessary.

You are right Joanne, in that if you make a mistake it could cost you the benefit. The secret is how you word your explanations of needing help. If I can be of any help to anyone experiencing filling in forms or appeals then just ask, I would gladly help.
